INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS · ART-THERAPY
A space to find your way
back to yourself
Art-therapy for women experiencing burnout and exhaustion, and for women and children with ADHD in person or online.
THE DISCIPLINE
Art-therapy, is not colouring
« You don't need to know how to draw. You don't need to be creative. You need a space where something can finally move. »
Art therapy is a clinical discipline founded in the 1940s. It uses the process of creation : drawing, painting, collage, clay, writing, photography not to produce something beautiful, but to access what words cannot yet say.
What happens in a session is precise. I don't observe what you create. I observe how you create. The way you hold the pencil. The moments you stop. What your body does while your hand moves. This information is clinical. It guides everything that follows.
The art-therapist does not interpret for you. She holds a space stable, safe, free of judgment in which what was blocked can finally begin to move.
This is not relaxation. This is not personal development. It is serious therapeutic work, grounded in certified training and a professional code of ethics.
FOR WHOM
Two paths,
one shared space
For women who no longer recognise themselves
"I hold everything together. I do everything. But I no longer know who I am in all of it."
You have lost yourself in the roles professional, mother, carer, the strong one. Your body is sending signals. Your mind can barely keep up. You are still functioning, but something has gone quiet inside.
Art-therapy doesn’t ask you to 'get it together.' It offers a space to lay down what you carry and begin to find your way back to yourself.
For women and children with ADHD
« I can't quiet the noise in my head »
For women diagnosed late in life, and for children struggling with emotional regulation, art therapy offers what words alone cannot a channel of expression that bypasses cognitive overload.
The goal is not to correct a behaviour. It is to learn how to inhabit your own rhythm.
WHAT CHANGES
Why art-therapy works ?
Creation bypasses the mind. It reaches what words alone don't always reach emotions stored in the body, feelings that don't yet have a shape.
Nervous system regulation : Nervous system regulation: the creative act slows cortisol and soothes the body's state of constant alert. Clinical research (Kaimal et al., 2016) documents a measurable reduction in stress after 45 minutes of guided art-making.
Expression of what cannot be said : Some experiences deep exhaustion, identity confusion, sensory overload do not find words. The image holds them before language is ready.
Emotional regulation through the body : Particularly effective with ADHD: the movement of the hand, texture, and colour activate regulation pathways that cognitive analysis alone cannot reach.
Restoration of a sense of self : What you create speaks to you about yourself without filter, without performance. The session becomes a mirror in which something true can finally appear.
Therapeutic holding : The presence of a trained art therapist is not neutral. She holds the space if something difficult emerges. This safety net fundamentally changes what it is possible to explore.
Complementary to other forms of support : Art-therapy can run alongside psychological or medical care. It is not a replacement it opens a different door toward the same path.
THE CLINICAL FRAMEWORK
What really happens in a session
A session has a structure. Each phase serves a precise clinical function. This is not improvisation.
BEFORE YOUR FIRST SESSION
A free preliminary conversation (30 min) takes place before any engagement. It is a space for me to understand your situation, what you are going through, and what you are looking for. It allows me to assess whether art therapy is right for where you are right now, and whether we can work well together. There is no obligation at the end of this call.
01 The welcome
How are you not as a formality, but to calibrate your emotional and physical state as you arrive. This information shapes everything that follows: the choice of medium, the level of support, the pace of the session.
02 The choice of medium
Painting· Collage · Writing · Photo-therapy · Clay · Drawing.
These are not activities they are clinical tools. And they don't work the same way.
Clay engages the entire body: the pressure, the matter, the resistance.
Painting releases the impulse before the mind has time to intercept it.
Collage builds meaning from fragments especially powerful during periods of identity reconstruction.
Writing anchors what has just emerged.
Photo-therapy creates a therapeutic distance, allowing one to see themselves differently.
As for drawing, it leaves a precise trace of what the body needed to say.
The choice of medium is never random. It is made according to how you are that day, the therapeutic intention of the moment, and what was worked on in the previous session.
03 The creation
You create. I observe not the result, but the process. How you hold the brush. Whether you stop often. What your body is doing. This information is clinical. It is never shared as a judgment it guides what comes next.
04 The verbal association
What happened for you while you were creating? What do you see in what you produced? What does it evoke? I guide you without interpreting for you. This is where the therapeutic work takes root.
